Every day I ask myself
Where is Romeo
The question itself

Oil on Canvas by Elisa Guillerm
Has answered as Pinocchio
“O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art
thou Romeo?” Why
Is it that I can’t find you in my heart
Or maybe its I
Who isn’t meant to be part
In your heart
Why does it seem
We can’t find one another
It’s an extreme dream
To find a lover
So why suffer
The thought of love
Has always taken over
So, where is my partner that will fit like a glove
So that I won’t be a loner
I don’t want marriage
But if you were to change my mind
with a message
I may unwind
I want a lover
Who breathes
Speaks and eats
So why
Is it so hard to find you
I do not ask for much
Just your love
So, Romeo please come in touch
So, we can be in love
Biography
My name is Amanda Rodriguez, and I am a sophomore. I like to read and scrapbook for fun.
What is your main source of inspiration?
My main inspiration is music; I love to listen to all different genres of music since every song tells their own story.
What motivated you to write this piece, and what is its message?
I believe what motivated me to write this poem was the fact that I believe romance is dead now. I feel that nobody really wants to get to know a person or is actually interested in getting to know that person.
