Biography

My name is Maria Islam, and I am currently a sophomore. Outside of school I like to spend my time playing sports like soccer and badminton. I also love traveling, painting, and watching my favorite tv shows. When I am at school, you will catch me having fun with my friends, attending my next club meeting, or figuring out how to become a successful doctor!

What motivated you to write this piece?

What motivated me to write this piece was my longing for summer and my memories I made with my family and friends. Although I missed the feeling of laughter filled summer days, what also motivated me was my gratefulness towards those days that I was able to experience.

What message do you hope to convey through your piece?

The message I hope to convey through my piece is to remind people to have fun and not miss out on opportunities to make long-lasting memories. I also hope my piece excites people to go out of their comfort zone and enjoy the world around them.
