My name is Tsz Lam and I am a freshman. During my free time I enjoy making drawings and painting when I can.

How do you resonate with your piece? Why is it personal to you?

I tried to make the butterfly less noticeable to highlight the idea that your garden is the most important. This piece is personal to me because I believe self improvement and self validation will always be more valuable then the opinions of others.

Why did you choose to submit this category(s) of artwork/writing out of the many available category options?

I chose this category of artwork because it is the medium I am most comfortable in. I feel like I can express my ideas more clearly with artwork.

What is your ideal writing environment?

In a closed room with music playing in the background.
