Bio
My name is Ryan Montgomery and I am a sophomore. Outside of school I spend a lot of my time coding and making video games. I think I am artistically inclined and I enjoy making artwork such as my piece based on Sonnet 18.
Why did you choose to submit this category(s) of artwork/writing out of the many available category options?
I had recently read Sonnet 18 in my English class and was inspired to create a piece of art for it so I decided to create a Poetry Interpretation Poster.
What artists and/or writers inspired or influenced your work?
I took inspiration from Jean-Honoré Fragonard and other Rococo artists for this piece because they created paintings of beautiful women in nature which I thought fit well with Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18.
What is your ideal writing environment?
My ideal work environment is anywhere with some peace and quiet where I can focus on my artwork or writing.
